Resources for the Conclusion
Some people speak of "collapse". The collapse of global civilization. Which is understandable. This is certainly a time of endings. But civilization isn't what humans think it is. And what is ending is different than we believe.
Here's the thing. The "civilization" that we imagine... doesn't exist.
It isn't real. There's no such thing. It never was, is not now, and never will be.
The thing that we call civilization is just a story. It's a narrative that has been told to humanity so pervasively and for so long that we mistook it for reality hundreds of generations ago. But civilization only ever "existed" inside of our collective imagination.
The thing that is ending is the story. Which is ultimately a good thing. Its telling causes immense suffering. The World and all its inhabitants will be benefit greatly from its passing. Including humans, if we live to see the other side of it.
So I do not speak of the collapse. I speak of the ending of a story. I speak of the conclusion.
